Hey - I just took delivery of this 01 996 with 35k miles. Interior needs help, but I think it's a good start.

Thanks all, I paid $26,500. Neded to replace front brakes and rotors, otherwise PPI came out clean. I am about to buy a 30 month warranty for about $3k. This is my first porsche and it is the funnest drive I ever experienced. I'm hooked!

Where do I look to do the mods? I live in brooklyn, NY. Would love to add black rear console and change the steering wheel, parking brake, and shifter ****. Also would like to change radio and add navi/bluetooth/mp3. Any thoughts on where and how much this could all cost? I'll obviously have to do this all in slow stages.

Thanks!

Raym, congrats on the new beast! Sounds like a great deal and a great car.

Hit me up if you need to consider some interior options....I'm in a dealing mood.

There is a place in NYC called Audiodesign somewhere on 10th avenue that has a lot of experience in doing this mod for P-cars. If you don't have the CDR23 Most system, the install costs less as the Bose amp can be used. They have a web site.

Thanks Eric - I am not much of DIY guy but can handle basics if needed. How difficult is it to change the rear center console? Also, how difficult is it to change the side lights?

Here's an install with pictures for a short-shift kit. It shows how to uninstall the rear console:
