Carlsbad = the new Crystal Cove for SD???

Hey guys,

This Saturday a bunch of people in the SD area are going to have a similiar Crystal Cove Car show meet in Carlsbad. The topic has been posted evidently on the Ferrari boards.
It would be cool if we could get the same following, and consequently cars that Newport solicits-
It will be on Saturday, the 29th at 7am at the Carlsbad Outlet mall
It is off the 5 @ Palomar Outlet Rd.
The meet will be near the starbucks there.
Ben, Pete, and I are going, hope to see more people as well!

Here is the address:

Carlsbad Premium Outlets
5620 Paseo del Norte, Suite 100
Carlsbad, CA 92008

Here is a map with further directions etc.

Hope to see you guys there!

I'm in unless it's pouring like it has been today. Roads in Encinitas are flooding bigtime. Weather.com says it'll be cloudy and cold tomorrow, should be around 48 degrees at 7am--b-r-r-r....

Lots of hotels in Carlsbad. Legoland is right there by the outlet center, so you know there's a lot to choose from. Plus a Four Seasons 10 minutes away if you want something really nice.

Arling, I would say it's an 1:15 drive for you from Lucent early on a Saturday morning. Maybe less if you drive over 65!

thanks. at least it doesn't look like it's been 4 wheeling now, but it'll probably be back to nasty in the AM after 20 miles on the wet highway to carlsbad.

Hey Ben, nice meeting you and Arling today. See you in the morning.

Arling, you can cruise the coast and find plenty of little hotels. Four Seasons east of 5fwy in Carlsbad is nice too of course. My favorite places are coastal in Del Mar and La Jolla. Plenty of nice views and terrific restaurants. If you do stay down overnight, we should get a few people together and go out for dinner.

Arling right down the street from the outlets is both the Four Seasons Aviara as well as the La Costa Resort and Spa. There are a ton of midrange Hotels in the area as well. I would recommend the Four Seasons since it is upsacale, secluded they also have underground parking.

Great turn out for a first try with minimal discussion. I am sure someone will post pictures, but I would really like this to become a monthly/weekly event.

Ben - it was a pleasure you meet your wife, beautiful daughter, and you.

I am finally able to put a face with Dave, Paul, Pete, et. al.

And the weather was beautiful. With a little work we could bet a huge turn out.
