Old carrera 5 spokes are sitting in the garage, gathering dust, waiting for the time when I sell the targa. I figure direct resale on the CSIIs will be better than the 5 spokes.

Hi - what size are the wheels you put on, and what's the offset? i am looking to similar wheels and am looking to see what they look like with stock suspension. i think yours is one of the first I've seen with the stock setup. looks good!

i was thinking 245 front with no spacer on 19x8.5 with 43 offset, and 295 rear no spacer on 19x10.5 with 52 offset.

Carrera S II specs:
19 X 8s ET 57 (w/235/35s) + 15 mm spacer
19 X 11s ET 67 (w295/30s) + 7mm spacer (as was mentioned in a previous post, can probably do without the rear spacer)

thanks!
so according to the offset calculator at 1010tires mine would be similar if i had no spacers...
front: 19x8.5s ET 45 - outer edge extends 3mm more
rear: 19x10.5s ET 52 - outer edge extends 2mm more

I'm getting my rims done next tuesday. I think I'm gonna go with a semi-gloss finish but im afraid that it will be to shiny of a finish, considering that i'm going with a metallic gun metal/graphite finish. My question is...... is a semi-gloss finish similar to the 20% gloss you went with? or is a semi-gloss finish much shinier?

I don't like any other wheels on the MkII 996 Carrera other than the MkI GT3 wheels, and the 18" Carrera wheels like you had on. But those wheels look great, and the black goes well with the dark Targa roof - good choice!

mj31, I'm not sure what level of gloss the 'semi-gloss' offered by your vendor will be. If you're not sure, just ask them what % they're using. I'd recommend some level below 50% if you don't want it too shiny.

Thanks, I got what your saying. It's good to know cause i had no idea to ask about percentage of gloss they would use. I appreciate your help and I think I'll stay somewhere around what you did, cause I like the way your rims came out. I'll post some pics when i get the car back.
