Negative Camber

Need advise to fix negative camber on 996 C4S with PSS9 Coilover

Dscott is infamous around these parts
On my 2000C4 w/PSS9's the front adjusted out. I went for -0.5 to -0.75 deg. for street use. Really helps the front end's cornering ability and not bad on tire wear.

Rear is another story. Once lowered the rear had about -2.5 deg. To correct (which I haven't done yet) will take adjustable toe links. You need more adjustment range than available from OEM setup. This gets worse the more you drop the rear ride height.

Bang on advice. The problem gets even worse if you go with 19" wider wheels and tires. You'll need adjustable rear upper control arms (dog bones), adjustable toe steer links and drop links. Not cheap but beats replacing rear tires every 3K.

I have -1 in front and -1.5 in back on h&r coilovers (gt3 setup) and was able to do it on stock adjustments, also my car is at about 125mm in front and 135mm in back so it's also pretty low

KAZ911 How's your tire wear? and what size of Wheels are you using to achieve these height? caused I'm 19" OZ superleggera III If your -1" F and -1.5" R are keeping tires long enough, I might try that for now until I find good deal on those dog bones and other parts required.

I figured you'd ask but I already posted my comment, but I'm running 18" gemballas with 295 in rear and 225 up front PS2's. As far as thread wear goes i can't give a fair statement since I cook mine at the track but I'd guess if you drove conservatively about 20k miles maybe more maybe less??? I hope that helps but if you're not concerned about performance and don't want to spend extra to adjust your suspension I'd just ask a Porsche alignment specialist to run as little camber as possible

might want to ask your alignment guy to adjust the camber while the wheels are hanging in the air. I you might be able to get that last little bit that way.

KAZ911 Thanks for all the info and advices, same to you Turbo Todd. I will let my Alignment guy adjust it to smallest negative (-) camber he can make, ASAP.
