Omar - You don't usually need to drop the engine to do the sensor replacement. It is pretty accessible, located on the drivers side of the engine where the trans bolts to the engine. If you have a lift or jack the car up you can get at it. The exception to this is if the sensor is corroded in. On may car, which had seen 9+ Chicago winters, when the sensor went bad (after I had the engine out for the intermix repair and had reinstalled it) the sensor was completely corroded in place. Tried to pull it out, pry it out, drill it out, no way. Finally had to drop the engine, take off the trans and beat the thing out with a hammer, and the sensor body is plastic. Amazing what all that road salt will do.

The sender is part number 98660611202. About the best price I have found is at Vertex Auto for $109. Get one and if you have a lift I will be happy to show you (and the girls) how to change it.
