Yes the **** comes apart in three pieces. You can actually get a good how to from this site. As for the boot itself, I do my own sewing and made a duplicate of the original then put it all back together.

Julian "do ya feel like sewing again this weekend?!?!? LOL if i tryed that on a machine im afraid my finger would be atached or if i did it by hand it will look like my replaced shirt buttons all crooked. You did a nice job!!

Very nice, from the pics your work looks very authentic.
My only sugestion would be to try and get the color closer to the rest of the interior leather, not sure if it can be dyed or not, unless you chose a lighter material for contrast in which you achived the look you were going for. Just a suggestion.

Yes- The "c" shape of the door pull is a pain in the ......!
Yes- I am for hire if you are serious. I am located in KS.
The contrast is a lot from the camera, but yes the gray is a little lighter. I guess the sheen of the suede reflects a little bit plus the OEM gray is a little dingey, thus the reason I started the swap.
