Paint Recommendation in the Bay Area
Not for a repair, but adding something to my car that needs to be paint matched and installed. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

Body Style in San Jose (Cecil Beach is owner, 408-436-1616) did a great job of repairing some scratches and respraying the front bumper on my previous Carrera. Pretty much a Porsche-only shop (they had some great restoration projections going on at the time), he's a real Porsche guy, uses the same paint as the factory, and does the best work I've seen. Comes with a price, though--he was at least 50% more expensive than other estimates. But, as my grandmother used to tell us as kids--if you buy the best, you'll never be disappointed...

I have had excellent results from:
Mathews Carlsen Body Works
2480 Faber Place
Palo Alto, CA 94303
Tel: (650)-856-6200
They do the work for Carlsen Porsche, and seem to be working on many 996's all the time. I have used them for my M3, M5 and 993.
Cheers.

DO NOT GO TO CECIL BEACH BODYSTYLES!!! I had a horrible experience there. It is posted on the rennlist 928 boards under my alias--Seth W.
I can highly recommend Costelli and Pardini in San Mateo. They did great work and were very professional.
