How do I program the Key Fob? Every car has a sequence, i doubt you have to take a Porsche to the dealer for this??

I hope it is a programing issue and not a replacement.... I have bought 2 cars and had to replace 4 fobs... I think people sell their cars rather than replace the fob.....

 

I have 2 fobs, so hopefully one will work...

Only Dealer can do it... i hope you have the Bar Code Tag, otherwise you wont be able to have it Programmed... Might have to buy a new one...

 

Take the fob/key to the dealer along with the bar code. Hand them the fob and code, give them you charge card, and bend over!

Really, it all depends on the relationship you have with the dealer. I know that turning off the Airbag light is a 5 minute procedure but the local dealer I used to go to had a minimum 1 hour shop time, at $159.hr. plus tax, etc.

 

For $159 I would just buy the durametric

As for the FOB, it's a dealer only procedure.

I actually bought a Durametric about 4-5 years ago when they were first released. I think I paid $179.00 and it is the equivalent of the Professional unit, no limit on the number of cars it will do. I am going to do the upgrade to the latest version/cord soon and they have told me that they will give me the Professional version as my original version has not limitations on the number or cars.

The Durametric is a great tool, I highly recommend.

 

i was chagred Half Hour Labour to Program my Key, i have a good relationship with my Dealer... Normaly they charge 1 hour...
