bumperplugs did the center console and other trim pieces ,not cheap but their work is the best imo, careful with the aftermarket carbon fibre treatments, most of it is crap, good luck!

I have an Artic Silver / Graphite Grey combo as well. I originally had some Alumo look interior pieces but they just looked to plasticy...
I ended up stripping most of the bolt on interior parts and painting them Porsche Meteor Grey Metallic which is a newer 07+ factory color. Compliments the Grey interior nicely. I also added some Carbon Fiber accents with the hand brake, ignition rosette, and hazard switch surround (plan to add shifter too). Very happy with the results...

hey dpblessing, how do you get the ventilated louver bits out of the side vent pieces that you've got painted? I had no trouble removing those components from the center trip piece, but it seems that they've been melted in there from the factory on the side parts.

I have a 2001 wth grey interior and center console grey finish is chipped now showing blck undercoat whch i can also nick with my fingernail. 2 Questions.1. How do these pieces come out, Snapin, snap out? Where do I start?
Question 2. The current finish is a grained matte. What did you use to strip the finish.
My biggest issue is the piece immediately behind the brake handle.
I do like the combination.
Oops Also....Time to do job, cost
Thasnks

I did my center console this summer and I love it so much that I've got another batch of parts getting finished now too. I've got a friend who is a painter and he did a professional job on it for cost of materials. very cheap and looks the business.
It's a simple removal really and once the part is out of the car, I'd let the shop handle the piece prep rather than messing with it yourself. That's the hardest part of the job if you ask me.
Getting the center console out just requires some patience as you understand how exactly in was put in there and simple hand tools like a torx and phillips screwdriver..
