If your car is under warranty, call 1-800-767-7243 and have Porsche tow your car in.

No warranty. Bought used with 34,768. I am starting to panic again. What are the odds of a gasket/head problem and no CEL?

Any nasty engine noise? Is there a milky residue in the oil? Is it really white smoke or blue grey? Start it at night with another cars lights shining through it, I think it is easier to tell that way. Have you actually driven it to see if it goes away. I've had similar symptoms after a hard run or an extended period of not starting. After I drive it it goes away. I wouldn't panic.

No bad noises, no lights... seemed to subside once I got it on the trailer but would shoot out the right side again if I revved. Other than that I haven't actually driven it. Too scared to.

Here's the scoop:

1) Complete AOS failure will result in excessive crankcase vacuum and should throw a CEL code.

2) It IS smoking more than typical. There may be a partial aos failure causing some of the smoke. Dealer indicates that it isn't necessary to replace unless it smokes while driving.

3) Dealer recommends injector and intake cleaning.

4) Panic mode off... whew!

Mine started doing this today, drove it fairly hard yesterday, parked overnight- started today and filled the damn garage. Enough that my GF said OMG smoke!

I drove it around 5 miles just to see, parked for 2 hours, started again , less smoke out of less side but somewhat visible. Not sure if its anything, wont be able to drive the car or start for a few days...

I guess good sign it was much less after a short drive and sit, but bad sign its still there..car runs fine, idles fine and felt strong.
