Anyone running their factory radio with iphone/ipod?
I want to retain the factory radio and just plug my iphone to play music. I'm not good with electronics so I know some of you is running iphone for music. Is there a ipod interface to connect to the factory radio? Thanks guys!

x2. I had one of the first gens on the BMW but it has been improved since.
You can go the cheap route as someone suggested by using an audio adapter to tap into the CD changer inputs but you still have to do all the controlling from the Ipod itself.
With the IceLink, you can control with your radio and sort by playlist/album/artist/song and have the artist/song info display on your factory radio display.

Which OEM radio model do you have? You just need to have the CD changer port on your radio to use the Icelink(and the like) ipod integration.

I just installed an iPod Touch today. My radio is the Becker CDR220 and I bought the cable from Becker. Not cheap: $110 plus $10 for the radio keys and $10 for shipping. This is for the latest (4G) iPods, iPod Touch, and iPhone, which I was told use a different voltage than previous models. The cable also charges the phone.
Between the iPod, the cables, and some other stuff I bought for the installation, it cost me around $500. For that money I could have installed a double-din unit with MP3, Bluetooth, Nav, etc.
However, my set up does sound great and looks cool. My wallpaper is the Porsche crest.
