Unhappy Oil level getting low

Recently, I found the oil level getting low quickly.
About 6 months ago, it was right at the middle after the measurement done.
Probably 2 months ago, it had 3 bars left.
Last week, there was only 1 bar left........

The '03 C4S is 4500 miles.
I did not change the way I drive it during the past whole year.

I remember there were some discussion about "oil burnt out" and some owners need to add oil periodically?

I've never found any single drop of oil on the ground. Where is my oil

Is this normal? If it is, what should I get to fill it up? Any recommendation?

Thanks.

Same thing happens in mine, no smoke, no drips. Also an '03 C4S.

You haven 't added oil to your car in 6mos?! Keep the oil level up.
Also, if you read your manual, you'll see that oil use can vary. In particular, you'll use more oil if you go on a longer trip after a bunch of short hops -- it burns off any/all moisture which in effect lowers the amount of oil.

If your engine is using 1 Qrt every 600 miles, you may have a problem and the dealer should get involved. Other than that, keep you eye on the oil as you should like you would with your tire pressure. Check it every week via dipstick. Gotta love these C4Ss.

Cool

Doesn't sound too bad.
Just add a little and keep an eye on it.

Don't bother calling the dealer, they'll only say that's normal.

Mine uses a qt every 1500-2000 miles, I drive it 'hard' though. Dealer found nothing wrong last time in the shop. Switched to a thicker oil this winter and the oil usage dropped dramatically. One thing I did was to make the dealer put it in my service record that I complained of oil usage, found to be normal. Strangely, he would only do that after performing a compression check, which was normal.
I don't think that C4S's have a particular problem, perhaps we drive our cars harder!
