(Battery) higher cranking amp make any difference?
I was told to buy a size 48 battery with cranking amp of 875. Cold cranking of 700. Well I've seen other battery with cranking amp of 900. Cold cranking amp of 770.
What difference does it make if I install the higher cranking amp?
- battery size fitment??
- too much power?

Higher CCA (cold cranking amps) are required when your car is exposed to extremely low temperatures. In moderate climates, a battery with the manufacturers stated rating for CCA should be quite sufficient. Sure, more is better, but bigger and heavier are not really what we are going for with a 911.

get the one with higher CCAs. I just put in an optima red top with 800CCAs. Starts up just great even in the cold canadian winter! I'll give some feedback when it goes below 20*F. So far so good!
