NHP Cats P0430 error code 2002 996 C4

Ok my cats went bad so I replaced them with the NHP 200 cell cats from maxspeed. I sometimes will get the P0430 error code which I know is bank 2 and the O2 sensor after the cat. The problem is that when I reset the code I can be driving for weeks without any issues. When my wife drives it she always seems to trigger the damn check engine light with the same error code.

Did anyone else put in a aftermarket Cat and experienced similiar issues ? I just bought a new O2 sensor today and new clamps to ensure it is not a exhaust leak. Is there anything that I am missing ?

Also on the NHP cats they have 3 ports for the O2 sensor one before the Cat, one on the actual cat and the last one is just past the CAT.

All and any feedback is much appreciated.

I have Gemballa 100 cell cats and they trigger both banks at least three times a year. So I bought a Durametric scanner and I clear the fault codes myself.

I have been resetting it myself but hate the fact that it keeps happening so I am going to be doing a few things this weekend if the parts show up tomorrow.

I noticed my coolant level is below the min so I will be topping that off. I also ordered new clamps for the cats because I am noticing a small small leak on the old ones and while I am down there I am putting a new O2 sensor in. Last but not least I am going to change the spark plugs so in total it should be around a 6-8 hour job. If that light comes up after that I am sending these back for replacement. I will keep you all posted

The problem with an 02 simulator is that your DME will not be getting a true signal and the DME uses this to adjust settings, so you could be running lean or rich and won't really know. This could lead to Cat damage and/or other damage to your engine. You are better off either diagnosing and fixing the problem or resetting the CEL once in a while. That way your DME is getting real readings and using them to control engine functions.

All my parts didnt come in time for the weekend. I did hook up my OBDII and compared bank 1 sensor 1 to bank 2 sensor 1 and then ofcourse bank 1 sensor 2 and bank 2 sensor 2 and saw a huge difference so I know my O2 sensor is defective / going bad. I will replace it when I get back from Vegas and let you know if that solved the problem

I replaced the O2 sensor yesterday and got error code P0161 today. Looked up the code saw what it was unpluged the O2 senor and then back again and made sure the cable wasn't pinched. Will see how it goes this week but hopefully my problems are solved

I get the p0430 code all the time with my supercharger and just reset it with my Duratec. It does not affect the cars drivability at all. I only reset it because it is easy and bugs me to see the little icon on my dash. Will

So far I am error free. WYO996 sounds like you have done a ton of mods to yours. Do you have any pics of your 996?

I just drove the P-car yesterday AM with the ambient temp 29 below. I keep a maintainer through the cig lighter (nice of Porsche to keep that hot with the key off), and it started right up even with my light weight Oddesy battery. The car looks exactly like a 996 GT2 without the side vents and a solid C4S red reflector on the back. I have posted many pictures on the site but I searched them and the hostmypicture site was expired. Sadly I need computer nerd help every time I try to post a picture, but the car is great. Of coarse now I am into modding my GTR and just did an ECU Stasis upgrade on my Audi r8 (covered by warranty). Oh, I forgot the Gemballa CF hood, painted silver, looks like a 993, cool and 5 pounds. Will
