Difference b/w US Speed & Lloyd Mats?
I'm looking for new floor mats and was interested in purchasing these; http://www.usspeedonline.com/page/U/PROD/LM-996 from US Speed. I noticed at the bottom of the page it states;
"Licensed Porsche Mats are manufactured by Lloyd Design Corp. under license from Porsche AG. All emblems shown on mats for Porsche vehicles are trademarks of Dr. Ing h.c.F. Porsche AG."
I assume then these are just Lloyd mats sold by US Speed. Anyone confirm this?
Are the US Speed good quality? How do they compare to OEM or Lloyd?
Alos, in the latest Tweks catalog there were 2 versions of Lloyd. One was heavier and thicker. ??? Any comments?
TIA,
Adam

I order some of these mats a week ago, so I should get them soon. I notice the same thing you did at the bottom, and I was under the impression that they are a reseller of the Lloyds Mats.
I'm happy with Lloyds mats from past experience, so I am hoping they are those...
I'll let you know when I get them.

I got my mats in the mail today from US Speed.
They are definitely Lloyds mats. They say Lloyds all over them.
One note: I have a black interior, so I ordered black mats with a red PORSCHE logo to match the red exterior. The black of the mats is a much deeper black than the carpet. Almost makes the carpet look like charcoal.
Don't know if the official Porsche mats match better, but this may bother you. I would imagine if you got the graphite black Lloyds mats, you would risk having the carpet look blacker than the mats...
Anybody try the graphite black mats on a black interior?
Overall it's not bad. And the system they give you for keeping the mats in place is easy to install and very secure.

Thanks for the picture. I found a set of Lloyds from my '01 Corvette in my basement and held it up against the black in my 996. I thought the color was a little off. I have not had any luck locating a sample or picture of the graphite. Anyone?
TIA
