Just installed my gauge faces (pics)
Hey guys,
I just installed me gauge faces today.
I was looking around the usual places for info and saw a lot of
different opinions on difficulty etc.
It was SO easy. Its basically 4 torx20 screws.
The needles are plastic on plastic bases so they basically pop right off.
I went with NR auto silver aluminum gauge bezels 100 bucks.
Nr silver gauge faces 100 bucks on ebay.
Gemballa yellow gauge tach from FVD brombacher 75 bucks.
total of 275 and about an hour of work.
Let me know what you think.
If anyone wants a silver tach or black faces Let me know.
If anyone is thinking of doing this i would give it a shot!

Looks great. I would have gone all white, the yellow it just not my thing, but each to his own. I guess I was lucky as mine came from the factory with the white faces.

I want to do this really bad with Guards Red gauges... I am hesitant because I have never removed the dash before. I installed a Kenwood DNX 6960 in my car but thats as close as I have ever come to removing any interior parts.

i'm not recomending to do the dials as DIY!You can have success to swap them but somethimes the needles are seezed and is hard to remove them.
I did mine and end up buying two new instrument clusters as result !!
I highly recomend to pay around $80 to your shop to replace the dial. That waay you are guarantee they will be set properly and you dont end up buy new cluster.
Just my 2 cents from experience.

looks great. i am gonna do this too i think (just the tach, have the white faces already). i have a black on black cab with some yellow accents (floormats, pinstripe on wheels and calipers) and am trying to liven up my old, dull interior.
is it really a simple switchout?
