The Kenwood unit does take about 20 seconds to boot up - I can confirm that. If you install the back-up camera, it comes on immediately during the boot-up. The Garmin navigation system on the Kenwood is excellent, as you'd expect. The iPod integration is also excellent. The GUI on the Kenwood is not bad, but it's not great. It does require you to push more buttons than you might expect for relatively simple operations, and the touch screen buttons are small. There's a remote control included that helps with this issue. Overall, I'm happy with the Kenwood unit - I'd do it again if I had the choice.

Thanks Dennis. I am leaning towards Kenwood after reading all reviews on Amazon.

If anyone can recommend an experienced installer shop please PM me.

Thanks again everyone.
