Seriously? 11.9 mpg in th last 100 miles?

Its all around town driving, and I dont putt around, but does that seem right to any of you? This is worse than my 500 HP evo.

Seems to be running great, good tire pressure........

That's not that crazy, I think around town I usually get around 15, but roads here are pretty high speed.

Is that using the car's computer, or your math? Maybe the two may vary? I know on the highway I get much better mileage, like 19 Mpg

I got 28.7 mpg over a 5 hour highway drive averaging 80+ mph! 11.9 mpg city seems a bit low. You may really be romping on it...in which case...you earned that 11.9 and its well worth it !!

I do enjoy the car between lights, and love the way this car revs all the way through the power band.

I generally average about 22.4 mpg. My driving varies between short trips from my home to my office (3 miles) and high speed trips down the hill to Denver, ranging from 20 to 40 miles.

For short trips in the city in which the car doesn't warm up, that's about right.

That sounds about right if you're romping on it. I generally get between 11-15mpg depending on how aggressive I am with it.

I was told that the cause was probably because the PO used non premium gas.
I used to use non premium in my Benz but since it doesn't burn as clean and it actually gets you less mpg than premium I only use the good stuff now.

One thing is for sure I'm happy I sold my Range Rover... that's really crazy especially with the prices we've got now!
I paid $1.57 per liter yesterday .
Good luck,

Sid.
and we americans complain about $4 / gallon gas.

Do ya need to bring your own lobster fork to this party

haha, it's an acetone based product that you put in the gas, oil and suck up into the intake via vacuum lines and it cleans out all the deposits from the engine, making it run better and improve gas millage.... there was a pretty good thread here a little while back if you search... i'm going to try it on our high milage ML prior to putting any in my car....
