so after braking my right leg tendon, i had spare time, so i started "wondering" on bay... found a great set of OEM mufflers.... now waiting for my indy for the gundo hack (PSE Hack) ... So i started with removing some of the burl maple from the doors, and found a center console, so started painting..... Initially i was going to go with the exterior camoflair paint.... took to long so i just went silver, may change later on....

no the handles i got OEM, via suncoast, the Millennium comes with the maple (which has a tendency of cracking for high heat, so during summers i remove them and give them a coat of acrylic, but it would definitely be an easy paint job, as long as they are not leather covered...

I picked up an unpainted console on Ebay as well and plan to paint it silver. I bought Krylon plastic spray paint and some clear coat. An tips or things to watch out for?

good prep with wet sand (600&800), 1 coat of primer... 40 to 50 minutes 1 coat of silver (i used duplicator LA7 for VW) keep it light. 30 minutes later a second good coat. wait about 1 hour on goes 1 clear (very light), 30 minutes coat 2 and after another 30-45 coat 3....I used acrylic enamel for the clear ... Any mistakes just wait till completely dry and wet sand (600) then re-apply, the clear is always the hardest... At any rate make sure you always have dry and clean surfaces ( i used thinner to clean), make sure the temp is above 60 and not too humid.... My times can be a reference, i am in Virginia Beach, just remember to be patient!
I have also painted the wheels and many other projects, have fun with it, hopefully it helps

Many thanks! It's a still a little cool out so I'll wait a week or so. Btw - I recently had my mufflers modded by FisterD and they sound great!
