no, not really shared components: both trannies are made by ZF out of Germany, which makes as well Benz's, Beemers, and other brands trannies.

the carrera and the turbo do not share the same trannie. as a matter of fact, they have not even the same layout. the 4S and the turbo do share the trannie. which, is stronger than the regular carreras'.

aftermarket market focuses on turbos as it does makes sense. turbo tips are great cars, and the tip takes it and can be upgraded.

but, nobody has invested the time to work and promote upgraded "regular" tips, as such cars are not purchased by "speed guys".

let's say you blow your regular tip with turbos or anything else: either you purchase a rebuild one from vertex, or porsche, or nothing else. nobody would go in and change broken clutches or other pieces. that is the deterrent.

i believe that the C4 and the C4S have the same transmissions (at least manual) and the Turbo transmission is completely different.

Yes that is known already they run different trannies.

Possible to incorporate a valvetronic system (or a PSE) with this setup? There might be some HP loss but even so?

With the wastegate dump pipe on the cat pipes, once that wastegate opens up, you are dumping straight out and not going through the mufflers. This is how externally gated turbos work. So in essence, its already there

Under boost, you cant. For normal driving, we could design a different muffler which would would have a valvetronic cut out to bypass the muffler/resonator and go right to the tip. This would make it VERY quiet on the street.

All of this is possible, and can be done here as we have the valvetronic parts. It all comes down to money
