it was in a straight line at a stop light. it was fine that night til the next day it blew white smoke while driving..it comes out again when restarted..so I'm hoping its just excess oil burning off & nothing major damage inside .....the check engine light flickered

this is the 1st time it happens after my aggressive driving (taking off at a stop light a few times)..there's no leaking that I could see underneath..no rattling in the engine, so that good.

sounds exactly like i described, shouldnt be more than 1100 or so, parts included. The motor will have to be lowered but not removed.

hmmm that does sound more serious then, cause what Brando and I are describing is more due to hard cornering and oil sloshing from one side to the other causing it to get by the piston rings.... if you have this happen in a straight line going from light to light it may be an entirely different story....

Should only have to be lowered and not dropped, well glad thats what it turned out to be cause thats a hell of a lot cheaper than the alternative.
