Stuck on something.

On occasion, as I pull out of my driveway, it feels as though some mechanism has to break free from my rotating rear wheel. Hard to describe. But, the first time this occurred, I thought it was a flat stop on my tire that was breaking free from the driveway. Yesterday, I thought it may be my E-brake line stuck in some position. This morning, I was hoping it was not a transmission issue; namely the dreaded IMS. Nonetheless, this only occurs at first startup in the morning. And, in less than one rotation of the rear wheel. Has anyone had this experience? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. 99 C2, 6spd, 47K mi.

Maybe a rear caliper issue? Sometimes a piston can fail to retract completely.

Makes sense to me. Thank you for your quick response. I will try pumping the brakes before I back out of my driveway. Hopefully, that will pinpoint the sticky issue. Any other thought folks?

And, plenty of rust there was. The P-car is not my daily driver. Thanks guy.

I get that after I wash my car too. The rotors get very rusty overnight.

I vote for wet rotors/calipers that seize up a tiny bit if put away wet. I've had it happen to me.

Happens every morning after a wash.. pumping the brakes works or even roll forward a bit. Definately overnight sieze.
