to save me (lazy person) from having to pull the assembly out and unplug a bulb and put the assembly back in, then do it all over, can someone tell me: Does the 996 have a headlight amperage load detection circuit that tells ya when a headlight bulb is burnt out?

Im looking at doing the HID upgrade (like Ive done on several other cars) and want to know if I need the error code eliminator.....
