Most parts just "pop" off. That means you apply enough force that you think they are going to break and they come off. "Most" of the time they do not break. The trick is to have a little plastic pry bar to gently ease the piece out of the mount points. Start at one end and work your way around. If one end seems to be holding too tightly, start with the other end. Each piece is different, but once you have removed them a few times, you get pretty good at it and the risk of breaking them goes down drastically. Be careful, some pieces have screws and pop-out fasteners. If it seems too hard - check again for screws. I find the parts catalogue very useful to determine if screws should be removed first.
