Spiced up my Graphite Grey interior

Spiced up my Graphite Grey interior
Well, it wasn't my first choice but my new toy 2001 Carrera Cabriolet ended up with Graphite Grey interior... it was just too much grey for me so I decided to try something to make it look better. Carbon Fiber was too much money although I did upgrade to CF parking brake, CF shift ****, CF ignition rosette, and CF hazard surround (not yet installed). My idea was to custom paint some plastic parts in an nice accent color. My choice was a factory Porsche color called Meteor Grey Metallic and I think it turned out very nice. My car is Artic silver on the outside and I did have an artic silver (Alumo look) center console already but it looked like cheap plastic. What I painted is below:
Below are some pics of the results (i-Phone pics in bright sun though).

- Upper center console
- Lower center console (including all side panels)
- Instrument surround
- Steering column covers
- Door handles
- Door pulls
- Door pocket covers (including Airbag screw cover)
- Door triangle covers
- Seatbelt opening trim on rear side panels
- Side vents
- Forward dash vents
- Alarm sensor cover

Nice.... I have the same color interior with a blue exterior. I think the blue would be too over powering for my interior. Silver was my first choice for interior bits... This metallic grey is a nice alternative.... I may have to consider somethin along this line as while.

Good catch Dharn55... it was part of a Alumo look package I picked up in trade for my scratched up factory pieces. The only big issue is the PSM switch looks funny slanted, I might pick up the Boxster version to replace it. LOL

You also have the Boxster switches that have the icons, etc. on the slant to look right with the slanted slots for the switches. If you go to the 996 horseshoe you might need to change the switches too.

Since I already had a carbon fiber hand brake and speaker grills I decided to order CF ignition surround, hazard trim, and shifter to balance out the CF theme. They are just not installed in the pics. The dash strips are too much of a pain to remove and install.
