Just got a 2004 4S
Hello everybody,
I wouldl ike to introduce myself, I'm LOS and I just bought my first Porsche and loving it. I'm really happy I went for the 4S. Got the car from a Porsche dealer with 27k miles. It has a 6 speed stick, slate grey in color and it's in mint condition. The car has the following options:
HID headlights (was this an option??)
Navigation
Sports exhaust
Yellow stitchin on grey seats with yellow seat belts
White gauges
Anyway, hope to learn more about these cars as I read some of the posts on this forum...
Thanks,
PS, There is no substitute....

Congrats welcome to the C4S family!
The PSE sounds fantastic doesn't it? If you want to prevent the low speed quiet "cutout" then check out this link:

I opened the relay and removed the capacitor. Worked like a charm and no more quiet exhaust at low speed!!

I'll try to post pics one of these days. The ones I have take too much memory.
In regards to the PSE, the car is loud at low and high speeds. There is a button on the navigation panel that reduces the noise. It's actually a pretty cool option.

I love the sound of of it!
The other thing I have noticed is how low the car sits. A friend of mine has the 2004 40th anniversay 911 and sits higher. Even though that car has 345 ponies, I would still go for the 4S anytime!

Here is a pic I just took...
Do you guys know if there was some type of suspension option on this model?
The reason why I asked is because I've notice this car sits much lower than other 996 4S cars. Look at the front end of the car, the rear is lower too.

Yes, lower than the 40th edition. Check out the side pic I just posted. You can see the front tire fits inside the wheel well. I guess it was lowered.
I'll stop by the dealer one these days and find out more. I like the way it looks though.
