ROW Sport Suspension Installed

ROW Sport Suspension Installed
I like the feel of this setup, but I'm surprised at how much of a rear gap still exists. I put on nearly 1,000 miles and 2 track days since the install, so they should be well settled. Could there be a mistake in the install or is this just the gap with ROW on a MKII?

Hopefully, it will eventually settle, and drop a bit more. I believe it is more about time, and not mileage. My 99MK1 came with Row M030 from factory. Currently, the rear gap (tire to fender) is about 1.5" or two fingers, and the front is about 1.75" or two and one half fingers. Your PICs do imply you have a way to go. Good luck.

Perhaps the stock rears settled over time so the new ones appear higher. The fronts look great though.
Did you install these yourself? I started yesterday and could not (for the life of me) remove the fronts. I followed the DIY in renntech and could not wiggle out the struts. Did you remove the control arm or anything else? I'm almost ready to get these done at a shop.
Also, how do you find the handling now? Does the front end feel a bit more planted?

Jules do you have a C4 or C2? If a C2 it should be straight forward, I would recommend buying the ball joint separator for the front, it made the job a hell of a lot easier for me on my C4.PM me if you have specific questions.

I forked up the $800 to have it installed.
Turn in is nicely improved as is rotation with trailing throttle. It's definitely not too stiff IMO, although I didn't install the sways.

Convert: thanks for your input on handling. I'm looking forward to the new setup...just trying to get this done on my own.

Judging by the height, you have the American M030 suspension. The ROW M030 Suspension drops the car a minimum of 1". I know, I have it and it is a perfect ride height.

ROW Suspension
I have this with GT3 wheels. Installed 09/2010 000-044-500-27 ROW M030. I could see that lower would look better but I am very happy with the street ability of this suspension.

99Jules: let's see your car! I still haven't gotten my alignment, but found a local shop that caters to track junkies and HPDE enthusiasts, so I'll post their recommendations after I visit.
Bella1: thanks for posting the pictures. Those were the best comparison shots I've seen and I can tell that my ride height is similar.

Row suspension is nice and still remains daily drivable.
When I do get a suspension on my car I will be more interested in changing the toe links and thrust bushings to spherical to enhance the driver feel. And I would probably go with a coilovers vs shock spring combo
