Offset questions

Happy Thanksgiving everyone,

question...........a close friend of mine who just started a high end wheel line wants to make a one offset of wheels for me to test the Porsche market (yes it was me to was asking for them). Thing is, we need to find the right offset and I have been searching with no luck. Does anyone know of the proper offset for a 20in wheel?

I know, 20in wheel is too big on a 996. Well, I plan on taking these to a 997 as well, since I have a C4S which is a widebody and plan on selling the C4S next year. Also, my car is just a weekend warrior as I have barely any time for Track/Autocross events.

So again, wheels would be of a concave design, 20x9 fronts and 20x11 rear for a 2002 C4S? any help would be greatly appreciated as I am the test mule for this journey. As for the wheels, if we get these to fit, they should sell as they are price pointed AWESOMELY to almost anyone.

Thanks again everyone!

Old pic of the ride -

In the pic the offset looks good both front and rear. lurking on the forum here I notice that most porsche wheels available are very weak offsets up front and poke just barely in the rear.

For a short cut, I would say bolt up a set of wheels that you have and measure where you want to see improvements, add that to existing offsets.

+1 on that. Car looks great in pic. I'm not much help on his subject either but would like to see the outcome

Given that 997 offsets are a tad higher than 996 offsets, I would venture to say: An 9" rim would require an offset of 50-52mm Front; an 11" rim would require an offset of 65-67mm Rear. Note the wider body C4 may look more aggressive at the rear with a 60mm offset. Good luck.

For the widebody 996, with 9 on the front I'd go 43-45mm offset and rears being 11, I'd go 38-40mm offset.

Whatsup bro! Hope all is good over there! Miss seeing that ride The most aggressive offsets I know of without rubbing are 9+38, 11+25. That's with standard tire sizes and alignment.
