Well I just got rid of my 2006 Evo IX Mr and picked up this 2001 C4. let me know what you think It isn't as fast as the Evo but driving this car is more of an experience to say the least.

What's that project you've got going on in the garage - an old Subaru Brat perhaps???

Thanks and yeah it's an 86 Subaru Brat that I'm restoring It seems like I've been lurking on these forums forever waiting to get a Porsche. Still hoping to get a turbo one day, but this will do for now

Not sure on the 0-60 but the evo accelerated much faster having 400awhp. Don't get me wrong the Porsche is no slouch. And the only thing in the near future is going to be a nicer set of wheels in the spring time.

I drove my friend's Evo MR back to back with my Porsche before. Evo is quicker both straight line and on track for most but it is forced induction and awd. It also cheats with several electronic driving aids that can turn an avg driver into a great one.

IMHO, the 996 is a more pure drivers car that requires true driving skills to keep you away from trouble and not a car that just anyone can drive aggressively. The 996 is definitely the more exciting(and scary at times) car to drive and does not reward stupidity like other cars.

My $.02
