Motor Meinster can do for $3000. Guess another 1000 to remove and install.

Do a search on Motor Meinster... it seems like they use used pieces, etc etc.

The cheapest you are going to find, is through Vertex auto, for around 3k'ish rebuilt, plus 1k install... plus shipping $500 if you are not in the area. Total, count with 6k by the time you are done.

I did ending up getting a Porsche new one, for 7.2k, plus 1k install, around 8k. 2k more than the option above but peace of mind and Porsche warranty.

Stay away from Motor Meister, do a search on the forums; there are hundreds if not thousands of nightmare stories about those guys.

Picked up today... transmission alone, per invoice, $6.800, plus taxes. New from Porsche. Try to beat that. Then, add labor of course.
