996 big end failure

996 big end failure
got the engine apart and its a big end failure , i knew that i just did not know why and how bad
first the scuff on the crank on the big end looks like the flywheel was out of balance since the whole bearing was squished on one side and the damage to the crank was only on one spot looks like a out of balance
i have a copy of the factory service manual, but there is no mention of crank measurement, rod measurement, crank holder(cradle)measurement, no cylinder measurement
does anyone have them, and why in .... isnt it in the manual , unless i need new glasses
thanks in advance

Sorry to hear about the damage. More info and photos will help us all learn.
I suspect the data is not in the factory workshop manual because Porsche (at least in the early days) didn't want people rebuilding their engines, and they offered quite reasonably priced factory rebuilds to 996 owners. Sadly those days are gone...
Out of curiousity--was the car running with the stock flywheel, or with an aftermarket lightweight flywheel?
Good luck.
