I did some searching but most of the posts were a couple of yeas ago. I'm a new 996 owner and live in the NW suburbs and need to find a recommended shop to do any coming work. I generally do the 'simple' thiings myself but want to start a relationship with someone that the folks here respect. I'd prefer an independent like most of us to keep costs reasonable.

From what I heard, they have done 3 more after mine. I was the first but that didn't steer me away. Most of the techs used to work at the Audi exchange as did the service manager (Billy). I DID bring in all my parts and they did all the work (IMS/Clutch/RMS/Fluids/Etc). Very happy with the work.

I'm from Rockford. It's about 60 miles west of everyone here. I will like to find a good mechanic around here as well.

I used to go to the Supercar Saturday's at the Glen and South Barrington. Think it's moved to Bloomingdale now or something. Looking forward to meets in the Spring.
