not hard, use the heat gun properly is important.

regarding the heat gun, for the vinyl, i never need to heat the vinyl too much, just put the heat gun about one feet away for a few seconds, that would be warm enough to expand the film for any shape. i even did not need to use the heat gun at all for some sections under the CALIFORNIA hot sun lights in the afternoon.
