you did an amazing job, especially considering its your first attempt

personally i would remove the vinyl from the windshield, i would much rather look at cracks than that, it looks really weird, surprised the cops dont pull you over for it, maybe get a fig newton decal instead

You can get a ticket in some places for a cracked windshield because the cracks can block your view and become a safety issue. So it's ironic that your solution for cracks is to significantly reduce your view out the windshield.

Considering you have a Porsche, I would assume that you have decent enough insurance to get 1 free windshield replacement a year. That seems to be pretty standard among car insurance policies now

Looks sweet. I was debating on either this or that dip-your-car kit once I felt like a color change. I have had success with plasti-dip on the past on parts of my FJ so I figured doing it on an entire car would work as well and lo and behold, there's a dude that sells a paint your entire car kit.

can you post a full pic of your roof and hood? I was looking at buying the CF roof for the car. It's almost 2 grand for the roof and then god knows how much to have it installed.

This post has given me some ideas.... I've always wanted a painted seat back. The rest of my 996TT is speed yellow, and I've just got the black backs.

Combining this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3M-Gloss-SUN...#ht_1851wt_683

With the DIY at: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...k-removal.html

May save me several hundred $$$, and give me the sense of DIY satisfaction.

Great job! Looks professionally done. Personally I don't have the patience, but admire people like yourself who can do this stuff.

i will take a pic of the roof asap and post it here, but not hood, because i removed the carbon fiber wrap and reppaced it with the matte gray wrap.
