car wrap 996 C4S---DIY

hi guys, currently i am wrapping my car in spare times. At part one, i did the inside trims with the black carbon fiber vinyl, and pretty easy by using heat gun. and i like the results very much. much better looking than the silver paint i did before imho.
I am going to do the part two---exterior next week when the vinyl arrived. i am kind of boring with my exterior color now.

Actually that came out pretty decent. Surprised. This would be a great easy fix for interiors that need some TLC. What color will the exterior be?

You must have a lot more patience than I have. I bought a sample piece of the 3m CF-look vinyl and tried to wrap the little ignition surround piece. I just could not get it into the concave surfaces no matter what I tried.

Great idea! I bought a piece of the stuff a while back and forgot about it. lol. I had my shifter surround painted a gloss black, but the material is on the soft side, so this might be just the thing I needed.

Here are some details for the exterior wrap.
some updated today after i got the 3M vinyl. cleaned the car for almost one hour, then wraped the rear bumper with matte grey, and wraped the roof and hood with carbon fiber vinyl....

That is an incredible job especially if it's your first time, well done!

Does this material shrink with heat? Did you use soapy solution like with Clear Bra material application?

Great job on the rear bumper. I have done that before and know its not easy. I do have one question though, is that carbon fiber vinyl on your windsheild??? If so why??? I dont get that... and not to mention if you wrap your car in matte grey that will look very out of place.

Great job...looks great.

DIY has a wide range. I just got some matte vinyl to wrap the chrome window trim and grill on my S6. It is at the shop right now getting done professionally. I do not have the time or patience to do this and it is
definitely a skill.
