99 C4 ride height higher than C2's?

Curious since I feel like my 99 C4 has a considerable amount of room between the top of the tire and the top of the wheel well. Im running 18" turbo twists too. I'd love to make this look less "Subaru" and more "porsche".

There are several options on lowering the car. H&R springs, coil overs like the ROW M030 set ups from Porsche or PSS10's from Bilstein or others. You will also get better handling, but possibly a little harsher ride.

I have PSS10's and love the lowered look, the ride, the handling and the adjustability.

You should consider the X74 Kit but if you want adjustibilty, go for the PSS10's.

Pss9 vs Pss10

I was told by Bilstein service that pss9's are being phased out. The only difference is pss10's are newer with 10 vs 9 adjustments. These are great, I have them. If you don't track and want to save $2500 / look up Ksport Kontrols for about $1200 on previous threads or through vivid racing.

All depends how much you drive your car and how much you want to spend.
If you drive less just get Spring's installed...
if you drive a lot like me spend good money on Quality Coilovers or Cup Kit (Shock/Spring Combo).
If you want to head to the Track get Coilovers.

I have racked over 100,000km on my PSS9's no Issues, my car is DD so Sun, Rain, Snow, Ice & Track Time.

Actually quite a bit more including better materials and slightly improved design around some areas like the perch and threaded body.

Only GT 996/997 Cars came with Adjustable Suspension, this was Height Adjustment only.

I Belive Porsche used Bilstein Shocks with H&R Springs for their GT Cars

PSS10 has 10 Dampening Adjustment and Full Height Adjustment.

Do the Ksports offer the same quality of ride as the pss10s?

Not even close, not to mention long term durability. You are definitely paying for superior materials like the seals, oil, case, piston as well as more accurate tolerance/qc in manufacturing process with the Bilsteins.

I agree with the quality comments. I have PSS9's that have broken adjustment dials are out over 30 days on repair. So, not everyone is having great luck with back up in the repair dept like that. Plus, you've got to have your car up 30 days on a lift or jack stands. Anyway, coilovers are wearable items and you have to decide if you want to pay 350% more for that quality. Bilsteins are very nice, but you can also decide to pay 300% more than Bilsteins for some that are even nicer...just all depends on what you're willing to pay and do.
