Prices for IMS replacement?
What are the average prices for an IMS replacement out there? I can't find a DIY on here. Do Porsche dealerships replace them with aftermarket units? What aftermarket companies offer the best units? What are the options here? I don't need it done, but would like the peace of mind. Thanks.

LN Engineering seems to be at the forefront but Pelican and Ceramic Labs are also contenders. Good DIY by Pelican with detailed breakdwon of parts needed:

Not all dealers will swap the IMS bearings since it is not a "sanctioned practice". The only Porsche approved method is to change the entire IMS tube which requires complete engine tear down.
LN engineering bearing (about 99.9% of the retrofits on the road are made by them) costs $600. There are a few other options for bearings out there, but you would be a pioneer and test subject by going with someone besides LN Engineering.
Labor typically about $800-$1000.

Everything you need to know about IMS and more from the LNE bible: http://www.lnengineering.com/ims.html
You can also install along with the bearing or even instead of it the IMS Guardian which monitors ferro-magnetic material in your sump and alerts you once there is too much of it floating around (indicating the bearing is about to fail or other internal parts are about to fail), then you can have the retrofit performed: http://www.flat6innovations.com/ims-guardian-home
