Feeler... Wanting new wheels. Opinions?

Hey all,
Looking at getting some wheels for the 996. I came across a set of replica 997 Turbo rims for a great price (below). I do like a little bit of a flashier rim, mesh style, you know just a little more character than your average OEm wheel. Just such a great price, hard to pass on them ($700) and I do like them more than the stockers on my 99. Should I get em or wait till I come up on a wheel I really like? I should mention these are aftermarket and are 18x10 and 18x8.5 in the front for the narrow body of my C2.

It's all a matter of personal taste. That particular wheel isn't my favorite Porsche OEM wheel, but it's certainly not bad looking. You might also consider a wheel from Victor Equipment. The Innsbruck is a very nice looking wheel for a good price. The Zehn looks pretty nice on a 996 too.

I do not really like those rims either. A nice set of Champions, victors etc look much better.

The Innsbruck is very light weight too, while many of the replica wheels are quite heavy. It's something to consider.

I just installed Victor "Innsbruck" on my 99 nb today. They look great and like another person said, really lightweight. Victor wheels make Porsche specific wheels so your Porsche center cap is a perfect fit. I was kind of nervous purchasing my set...19x11 et55 and 19x8 et 45...because I got responses that the rears would need an off-set of 60et or larger. I contacted the distributor for Victor wheels in my area and was told the 55et would fit fine on a nb. After install I noticed that they stuck out about 1/8" but there has been no rubbing or compression issues....yet. I put 295/30x19 rear and 225/35x19 front.
