Seat Belt Ding while driving

Got a strange one...
While driving, randomly around corners, the seat belt starts to ding. The light does not come on. It will ding 2 or 3 times and stop. It does not happen on every corner. It is the exact same noise I get it I unclipped the seat belt.

Anyone else have same probelm? Fixes?

Is this kid of stuff under warrenty forever since it has to do with the seatbelt?

The speed gong (speed warning) has a similar tone.

The check engine light (when flashing, possibly when it illuminates) might also produce a similar tone.

I would make sure that it is not one of those two things before diving into the seat belt clip micro switch replacement (also a potential problem, they come up on the forums from time to time).

Hey logray, what is The speed gong (speed warning)? I don't mean to hijack this thread. But, I am stumped.

Exactly what it sounds like.....

You set a max speed and if you go over it.....it chimes to remind you to slow down.

Logray

That is it thank you. I never set it to 25, however everytime a acclerated past it it went off. A quick trip on the highway to reset to 95 solved that problem. I just got battery changed, maybe it reset to a default? Is there a way to deactivate?

Good to hear.

Yes, you can deactivate the speed gong, just go to that function and then hold the reset. It will default to -- (or nothing).
