996/997 Carbon Fiber Dual Cone CAI... Finally

I was looking for a dual cone CAI for my 996 and finally came across it at EuroCupGT.com. It's installed and really cleans up the engine bay along with the new growl.

Nice, looks like the GT3 RS 4.0 without the enclosure.

Very nice but don't be a tease. Part number, shipping cost, installation issues, filter dry or oiled.....

I checked out the web site, many different parts. Looks like it's about $545 shipped to the US.

It's $370 and shipping shouldn't be that much.

I thought it was Euro. But, I just ran the purchase through their shopping cart resulting in 291.16 pounds converts to $470.10 delivered to my house. You don't pay VAT on out of country shipments.

That looks awesome! Any comments on performance. Curious how this compares to the similar single intake that Fabspeed makes?

It cost about 16 dollars. I ordered mine and shipping was 10 pounds. Update: I was shown 10 pounds on the web site and receipt but charged 35 pounds shipping on my credit card. So shipping was about 50 dollars and delivered in 6 days from England. Not bad still.

remember to put a towel over them when you wash the car. And remember to remove it before you drive it. I constantly forget with the K&N one in my car. Nice look, and looks very neat and tidy.

It was $544 delivered and came quickly from London. I wanted the Fabspeed dual intake but they only make it for the 997s and I didn't like the look of their single cone filter. My choice was more cosmetic since the 996 airbox is the ugliest part of the car. The eurocupgt intake comes with great instructions and it took 30 minutes to install. The carbon fiber heat shield is very long so I feel like it's providing good protection. The intake is also carbon fiber and well made. My system seems to have remapped to the new air flow. That said, I took it out for a test drive and there is a slight hesitation from a standstill which I'll have to figure out but everything else felt fine. The car now makes and nice growl and I enjoyed a spirited ride. I'm worried the hesitation may be the maf sensor so I may tinker with it this weekend. Overall, very pleased and appreciate the comment about covering them during a car wash. That makes sense and I didn't think about it.
