Flat spot at 3k normal for X51?

Hey, just picked up an 04 Anniversary edition with X51 power pkg. I am experiencing major lag/flat spot in the fueling/throttle delivery at just under 3K rpm and . It doesn't seem to matter the gear, but is more noticeable in lower gears... extremely annoying.

Any ideas? I think I'll check the TB and ensure it is clean. If not that, maybe a battery disconnect/reset, although I'm not sure all the resetting procedures for seats and windows, etc.

Thanks for any ideas.

While your in there, clean your MAF sensor and/or replace the air filter.

TB was mildly dirty, so that's all cleaned up now. Filter is new (less than 1k miles on it) so that was OK. Damn MAF screws are security Torx... I don't have those bits so will have to get to a store first (I love justifying new tool purchases!).

Will also check codes first with OBDII port just in case there is something there, then battery reset.

After that I am out of ideas, hope it all works... I'll report back if it has all made a difference.

Any other ideas welcome!

MAF and TB cleaning did wonders... smooth without any stumbles/dips now... I can feel the power changeover to Dr. Jekyl at about that RPM, just now without a hiccup!
