Possibly 10K dollars too expensive if you ask me. I think you might get about 18K -19K at best... Buyers are getting options for free (or 10 cents on the dollars ) right now... Sorry to bring the bad news but that's what is happening with the C2 3.4 liter. So you know, the 1999 has less chance to have an RMS / IMS problem because of the different design of the bearing but that issue is bearing down ( pun intended) heavily on the pricing. Good luck with the sale!!

Noo! Keep it!

And there are a ton of posts on the IMS... so nuff said... Be patient and the right buyer will come. I just bought my 2001 C4 for 32 w 35k and 1 owner. Just realize that someone is going to hit you up on the IMS aftermarket install in a PPI.

Fwiw, cars are always worth less on the forums so I would target Autotrader and other similar sites to market your car if you haven't already done so.
eBay and forums tends to attract the most budget conscious buyers to put it nicely.
My $.02...upper 20s might be slightly high but if you don't mind sitting on it, then a right buyer will eventually come along. Mid 20s would probably make it move faster and a realistic price that more people would probably pay for '99.
Does it have the sport seat and LSD option as well? Original owner? Clean car fax? All records since new?

Thanks all for your input. I listed the car for what I think its worth based on cars I've seen on ebay and the few on this forum. If I get this price...great. But as the post says "best offer." But car is worth more than $18,000 or $19,000.
Alpine: I am the 3rd owner, carfax is clean. What is LSD? It does not have the sport seats. And I have most records since new. The car was serviced at a porsche dealership, so Im sure whatever records are needed can be had from them. The car is super clean.
machbx: You bring up a good point. Yes I am aware of the IMS stuff and Im dealing with that as it comes.

LSD: Limited Slip Differential
Keep in mind that many/most of the cars on E-bay are posted by dealers (dealers get to charge a premium over private sales, like it or not) and even there most of those cars get posted many multiple times before they actually sell.

On the IMS - I bought my car anyway - The IMS didn't freak me out that much eventho it's my first P-car. The is so much abt the 996 that I liked - and as long as you can speak to it and educate your buyer then I can't see at as a problem. I have seen low milage 993's go for a lot more than mine - I'm a happy camper. Good luck

Your car is a real beauty. If you can pick up a cheap family hauler and keep the dream car, you will appreciate the escape vehicle.
That said, values are terrible on the 996 now anyway. Granted, this (below) car is much higher mileage, but 997s are creeping down to the 20s. Two 997s sold on ebay for less than 30,000 in the last few days.
On one hand, the 993 is the end of an era and will retain value. On the other, the 997s improved every aspect of the 996. Get ready to see 996 prices drop below the already depressingly low price.

I sold my 2002 4s for 20k a few months ago. Didn't have even a nibble at 28. The market sucks. And I think this is posted in the wrong forum FYI.

Not only that, but it violates the forum's policy about posting items for sale outside of the marketplace, and the requirement of 30 posts before creating a for sale.
