265/35/18 on 18x8.5 Front okay?

265/35/18 on 18x8.5 Front okay?

I currently have 225/40/18 front.

I've seen guys with 265/35 up front.

Will it be okay?

I'm not sure on a 8.5 rim. You'll have to play around with offset but I have a feeling it's going to rub.
I'm running 255/35/18 on a 10 inch rim on the front. There's a stretch with the tires so no rubbing. Offset is 41mm. I also run a 10 width rim with 44mm offset no rubbing.
Lowered on H&R with 0.8 camber.

265/35-18 is the OEM size for the rears on the earlier 996's. Why are you thinking of running these on the front? What size rears would you use with these?

18x8.5 front 18x11.5 rear. I'm thinking of running a 265/35/18 for the front.

Are you awd or rwd? Nb or wb? why are you wanting to even run that wide of a tire in the front?

I can't imagine this would work without rubbing. Why do you want such a wide tire on the front? What's the benefit?

265 is overkill. For those that insist, I'd say a 255 would be that max. I am currently running 245 on an 8.5 rim, but will apply a 235 next time around. Bottomline: Save the grip for the rear.
