aero kit
Out of curiosity, is a 996 mk1 c2 with a gt3 aero kit considered riced? I mean it looks awesome but I don't want to buy a car that's pretending to be something it's not. I'd like to hear your opinions

On a mk1 gt3 it's a standard body.
On a regular 996, it was I believe close to 8k usd option. There are aftermarket replica parts though which look just like the OEMs.

I don't think it's riced at all. In fact, last weekend I hopped on the interstate and there was an aqua colored 996 going by, and at the next exit, a speed yellow with the aero kit got on, so we were all three going down the road for a bit. The more I was next to it, I really liked the aero kit at speed. All of us were >75, so we all had our tails up, but the fixed wing in the back with the side skirts, etc., just made a very aggressive looking car, I gained a new appreciation for it, and didn't think it was riced at all.

Its a porsche. Pretty hard to rice it out imo.
For example: I got a gt2 996 kit on my c2 with led drls and people think its entirely oem. One guy even said he thought it was an 09...

Mine was a factory C2 Aero car, but it was just looking so dated in my opinion and I wasn't a big fan of the taco wing look.
So, I decided to upgrade the overall look of my car to something more current. But some people really dig the 996.1 aero kit cars, which is cool.
Cheers
