Aluminum Pedals from Gert

Aluminum Pedals from Gert
To follow up on Darren's post on the TT forum. Apparently they're made in the same factory and are duplicates of the Ruf pedals. I put them on the other night. Here's how they look installed...

I really haven't driven the car that much to notice, but I think not much because of the rubber *****. Appearance wise, there's no comparison. In truth, I had the Cargraphic pedals on a previous car and I like the look of them better. You could also "hear" your feet rubbing on the aluminum because they don't have the rubber *****.

Do you mean the new pedals ? If so are the small black ***** shown, steel, alloy or rubber ?
Yes, very interested too. Like most people who have seen them on the site.
Thanks.

I was refering to the Cargraphics in terms of hearing your shoe against the pedal, especially when wet. The Cargraphics are mostly brushed alluminum with holes so they wore well. I had mone for about 2K miles and no sign of wear.
The new pedals (picture) are brushed aluminum. The ***** are rubber and seem to be in the right places. Having said that, I can see that they may show wear because the are more of a finished aluminum.
You guys should ask people with Ruf pedals for their input. I believe they're the same.

I did it myself. The dead pedal and the gas pedal are a breeze. The clutch and brake are a little more difficult to align because the clutch pedal is angled a little differently then the brake pedal.
The dead pedal screws right into the carpet with 3 self tapping screws.
The gas pedal drills easily because it is made of plastic - 2 screws and nuts.
The clutch pedal is plastic and drills easily - 2 screws and nuts.
The brake pedal is a little more difficult to drill because it is cast metal - again 2 screws and nuts.
A hint for the clutch and brake. Since they are black, I put duct tape over the pedals so I could see the mark where I wanted to drill.
Just take your time. Gert's instructions tell you what size bits you need. It took me about an hour.
