Are cabrio hydraulic pistons sided, or ambidextrous?
My driver's side (left) piston for my convertible top has a pretty bad leak in it. I'm looking on Ebay at a couple of replacements. Do I need to worry about which side the piston came out of on the donor car, or do they work with either side? The seller tells me they'll work with both sides, but I'd like a second opinion.
thanks!

Yeah, that's what had me wondering. I seem to remember reading something sometime about the tubes being different lengths, but then again, isn't the hydraulic pump pretty much dead center in the car? It'd stand to reason that they'd be the same length, but who knows... same part number seems to indicate that they're identical.

I have a used one on order right now. $300 with shipping included. New ones are $750 if I remember right. Ouch. So I'll give this a shot and hang onto my core to have it rebuilt if I run into any more problems. It's my only car so I need to minimize downtime.
