Softop Damage from Hardtop Use?

I'm thinking about buying a hardtop and was curious if anyone has any knowledge of damage or faster wear of the convertible top when a hardtop is installed for 5 months or so every year.

I like the idea of having a hardtop in the winter and also a different look, but I don't want to sacrifice my cab top that's in near perfect condition.

If anything, it helps the top last longer. Just make sure it's dry. It's the sun, elements, and putting it up and down that causes wear. The hardtop is great in the winter and has a lot more headroom.

I've never seen or had an issue.

No issues, a couple of precautions would be put a soft cloth where the plastic window folds so it doesn't move around and scratch the plastic. Also be careful when setting the top on be aware of the holes.
