Damn Speed bumps
Well, I did it again!!! Going over some speed bumps, the last one I took a little too fast and the engine dropped and hit the speed bump This morning when I got ready to leave to work, the garage floor is a big puddle of oil. Anyone know the best place in price and availability to purchase a replacement Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Oil pan cover cracked when I passed the speed bump. I checked PP their price is $167.50, maybe a used one don't know

Being experienced at dropping my engine on speed bumps, I knew what it was immediately. I did this same thing about six months ago and thought I was doing good but one small lapse in memory and Kaboom, I find myself up sh!tcreek

It has baffles in it to help prevent oil starvation through extreme cornering. I can't seem to find one for sale with a quick search. A Porsche dealership should be able to get one. But this will also help you in the future.

Don't cheap it out and just get a brand new one regardless if you go stock or x51. In my experience, you might end up with a used pan that has microcracks that you necessarily won't notice right away.

I would defiantly go with a brand new one, that's something you don't want to chance. Also make sure you get Loctite 5900 engine sealing compound.

For anyone that has lowered to ROW030 or PSS9/10 or has brutal neighbourhood speed bumps to navigate, I recommend an OEM engine protection plate. I can actually hear mine working from time to time!
Suncoast and Pelican have them:

I actually recommend ... slowing down. We have severe dips in the roads through neighborhoods here and also speed bumps. I come to almost a complete stop and slowly pass over. I do agree with the suggestion to buy the best/new cover rather than looking for used or cheap.
