Clear Third Brake Lights
#46
I have to disagree!!! I tried installing in my TT and the seal (rubber gasket) is not as large as the stock version. The lense itself is the same dimensions, but the seal is different. It will fit in the slot, but will not seal properly. I was worried about water getting in there. I have included a bad picture comparing the two lights.

Sure thing:
After the 3rd brake light is removed from the decklid (pop the cover on the right side of the lens, twist the securing pin slighty left and remove lens)
On the left side of the lens housing there will be a 2 wire harness connector, disconnect from the lens and swap the 2 wires by removing them from the connector, this can be done with a special tool or a very small thin blade screwdriver and re insert the connector into the lens
There is an alternate way to do this as well if you are not comfortable swapping the pins:
cut both wires and reconnect to the opposite one with the quick splice wire connectors that are supplied with the kit
Hope the helps you

I'm still on the fence. I am waiting to see a picture of a dark blue or black car--preferably a C4S, because the red reflector across the whole width of the car ties in well with the red third brake light IMO. (unless Gert comes up with a smoked version of that, too!!)
