Even if you never drive a $100,000 car, the annual cost of ownership for the first 10 years will be in excess of $10,000 simply due to depreciation, carrying costs and insurance.

okay. You guys are going way out. The guy is asking regular maint!!!

If you do everything yourself, other than the big stuff, regular maint is about $100. Oil, filters, wipers what else?

The brakes and tires are expensive but not a yearly thing. Honda's, one of my friend had a car at 120k mi with only regular oil change, air filter, brakes, wipers, and tires on a Prelude. No other maint is was done.

Did I miss any other regular maint items?

I disagree unless you car is a garage queen, tires are a yearly thing and so is the general maint, which is a major one every one to two years for about 800-1000. Not even talking brake fluid every 2 years and the actual brakes. Also clutch and other wear items. Yes if you keep a car for 1 year and 1 year only you could spend on about $100 bucks, but it's the 2nd year that i'll kill you.

We all love Pcars and it is rock solid sports car. but all cars brake and we fix it. no point to make big deal on how much maint you spend...

99-00 are as solid as 01-04 but get a warranty from your dealer and free your mind. if something bad happen it will be very very costly.

Alex always own the car under factory warranty so he thought everything is free. but he did all the maint, upgrade, mods in his garage so he can keep the lowest cost on this part. gotta love those Pcar owner who doesn't afraid get their hands dirty.

Happy 99 owner here!
